Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, wife test positive for coronavirus

According to reports, underworld don and India's most wanted criminal Dawood Ibrahim has tested positive for COVID-19. Later, his guards and other staff members were also quarantined. Dawood's wife Mahajabeen has also reportedly tested positive for coronavirus. Dawood and his wife have been admitted to Karachi's Military Hospital, claimed reports.

Indian diplomats and intelligence agencies have been trying to get him since long. They have also provided several pieces of evidence to the world as well as Pakistan regarding his presence in the neighbouring country.

The last week of May saw the lockdown being relaxed in Pakistan for Eid. There was a sudden spike in the corona cases recorded. Till date, close to 90,000 people are infected with the virus with the death toll nearing 1,900. 

Dawood was recently in the news for joining hands with Lashkar-e-Taiba. Reports claimed that they had come together to launch terror attacks in India. Intelligence has also informed that terrorist groups are trying to create unrest in India. In May, Kashmir was on high alert. Intelligence's inputs said that 17th day of Ramzan which is the battle day of Badr or Jang e Badr would be chosen by terrorist to create unrest in Kashmir valley.
