Palestinian man climbs ICU wall, sits by the window to bid farewell to dying mother

Touching many hearts, a son climbed a high window to see his mother who was dying due to the COVID-19 disease. He climbed the wall of the ICU and sat by his mother’s room’s window to bid her goodbye. The picture of him went viral on social media which brought tears in the eyes of many netizens. 

As per the news reports, Jihad-Al-Suwaiti, a young Palestinian from a town called Beit Awa in the West Bank region had to say goodbye to his mother in such saddening way as she succumbed to COVID-19. 

Jihad Al-Suwaiti climbed up to the wall of the Intensive Care Unit of Hebron State Hospital where his mother was getting treated for COVID-19. Infected patients are kept in the ICU ward to provide good care. At the time of death, Rasmi Suwaiti was 73 years old.

On July 18, Palestine announced 465 new cases of COVID-19, raising the total number of cases in its territories to 10,052.

It’s been more than three months since the worldwide outbreak of coronavirus. The pandemic remains prevalent and therefore many are still losing their lives. The virus is infamous for its rapid infection.
