Pune: Junior National Supercross champion Yuvrajsinh Kondedeshmukh blazed his way to win two titles in Ahmedabad, in an Invitational Dirt Track race last Sunday.
The Auto Blaze Ahmedabad 2018 that attracted a host of riders from the western India, saw Yuvraj, who represents Mumbai’s Ajmera Racing, dominating the show with his measured riding on the given dirt track.
The one-off event organised by the Baroda Automitive Racing and sanctioned by the national governing body, FMSCI, saw Yuvraj making most of the opportunity in a month that saw him race in four different cities before this Ahmedabad Blaze.
Yuvraj rode in the first round of the National Dirt Track championship in Kolhapur on December 24 and then moved to Pune for the second round on January 7 before the finale in Chennai on January 18.
In between there was more bigger task as the first round of the National Supercross championship was held in Kochi on January 14 and at all places Yuvraj nailed the titles in his respective categories.
In Ahmedabad Yuvraj competed in both Foreign Open Class for bikes upto 500cc and the Junior Class and he was up to the task winning both the races that were held under lights.
In Foreign Open, Yuvraj astride his KTM 85 SX defeated Asif Ali of Bhopal, who rode Yamaha 250cc. Mumbai’s Badal Doshi was third on KTM 350cc.
In the Junior class, Yuvraj finished ahead of fellow Pune rider Sarthak Chavan.
