In an interview with Sportstar, the former all-rounder said, “I have played under Sourav (Ganguly) and had a lot of support from him. Then Mahi (MS Dhoni) took over."

Former all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has played under many skippers. Still, when he was asked to pick his favourite, the swashbuckling batsman has named the former Indian skipper and BCCI President, Sourav Ganguly. Yuvraj Singh expressed that the support he received from Ganguly made a massive difference to his career.

In an interview with Sportstar, the former all-rounder said, “I have played under Sourav (Ganguly) and had a lot of support from him. Then Mahi (MS Dhoni) took over. It’s a difficult choice to make between Sourav and Mahi. I have more memories of time under Sourav because of the support he gave me. I didn’t have that kind of support from Mahi and Virat (Kohli).”

At 18, Yuvraj made his debut under Ganguly’s captaincy against Kenya in the Champions Trophy 2000. In his very first innings, he made an impact and pulled off a Man-of-the-Match performance. Yuvraj’s greatest moments under Ganguly’s captaincy came in the 2002 NatWest Final and Team India’s superb run in the 2003 World Cup.
