Srikrishna pockets fifth junior billiards title in a row

PUNE: Petroleum Sports Promotion Board’s S Srikrishna won the junior billiards title after topping the pool of the round robin rounds at the Manisha-Vascon National Billiards and Snooker Championship being played at PYC Hindu Gymkhana on Thursday.

After potting the highest break of the tournament (211 points) against Rayaan Razmi of Maharashtra on Wednesday, Srikrishna got the better of Sparsh Pherwani 989-338 in the last round robin match. Srikrishna managed breaks of 130 and 126 points which took the game away from Pherwani.

“I won the junior billiards. Next I will be playing junior snooker, after that senior billiards main draw. The tournament was quite decent,” said Srikrishna.
