Pune: SP College and Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT) Loni girls along with Ness Wadia and Indira College boys reached the summit class in the Srujan Super Cup 2019 Basketball Tournament at the Deccan Gymkhana courts.
Likewise, in the Inter school section, Abhinava Vidyalaya became the only team to enter two finals in the entire tournament by making it to the boys and girls final
In the semi-finals of the Inter Collegiate section, SP College rolled past Garware College in a high scoring match that ended 54-31. Opening an unassailable 25-11 lead at the breather, SP College led by Rupali Tripathi (10) and supported by Siddhi Kothavale (8) and Shruti Sherigar (8) did well to make the win easy for their team. Oshin Jinkar (11) did well for Garware College.
Earlier, MIT Loni had an easy outing against Bharati Vidyapeeth’s College of Engineering for Women (BVCOEW) and won 33-6.
