PUNE: St Joseph School’s Siyaa Shetty won a deserving gold medal in girls 200m freestyle event at Sakal presents Schoolympics swimming event at Tilak tank swimming pool here on Thursday.
Akshaja Dixit of Millennium National School bagged silver medal in the same event with the timing of 2 minute 33 seconds.
Sneh Goyala secured gold medal in 50m breast-stroke event with a convincing performance, which saw her clock 39 seconds.
Sneh completed her double crown with a gold medal in 100m butterfly event, beating Shruti Godse of Sinhgad Spring Dale Public School with a comfortable margin of more than a second.
Sanjana Pala of Vikhe Patil Memorial School, too had a fruitful day, with gold grabs in 50m Breast Stroke Girls 12 to 14 and 100m Butterfly Girls 12 to 14 events.
Bhave High School’s Tanish Kudale sparkled with multiple gole medals.
