PUNE: Shri Shahu Mandir Mahavidyalaya got the better of Modern Junior College 32-24 to clinch the Under-19 Inter-school Kabaddi title at Nehru Stadium recently.
Shahu Mandir boys came out all guns blazing right from the start and scored points on every opportunity provided. They took a 18-8 lead going into the half time.
After resumption, Modern Junior College fought bravely but good work from raiders Shubahm Shelke and Yogesh Athrava helped Shahu Mandir boys walk home with the title.
Lonkar Madhyamik & Uchamadhyamik Vidyalaya won the third place.
RESULTS:
Under-19: Shri Shahu Mandir Mahavidyalaya bt Modern Junior College 32-24.
3rd place: Lonkar Madhyamik & Uchamadhyamik Vidyalaya bt MES Boys Junior College 23-9.
