Sardar Dastur girls triumph

The score at half time read 17-20 with Satara English Medium School in the lead. For Sardar Dastur, Aanaya Bhavsar scored 28 points and Durva Mupid scored 9 points. Meanwhile Ifa Inamdar scored 18 points and Sharvani Badapure scored 7 points.

PUNE: Pune’s Sardar Dastur Girls School beat Kolhapur’s Satara English Medium School 46-43 in the Under-14 category of the Schools State Basketball Championship  which was held at Akluj from November 1 to 3.

The score at half time read 17-20 with Satara English Medium School in the lead. For Sardar Dastur, Aanaya Bhavsar scored 28 points and Durva Mupid scored 9 points. Meanwhile Ifa Inamdar scored 18 points and Sharvani Badapure scored 7 points.

In the battle for the third place, Mumbai beat Aurangabad 34-7. Rutuja Nalawde scored 16 points for Mumbai.

In the Under-17 final, Pune represented by Sardar Dastur beat Nagpur’s Centre Point School 47-42 to emerge victorious. Tanvi Salve (31) and Bhumika Sarje (10) got on the scoreline for Dastur. 

For Centre Point School, Siya Devdhar scored 11 points and Saee Deshmukh scored 12 points.

Girls:
Under-14: Final: Pune (Sardar Dastur Girls School) 46 (Aanaya Bhavsar 28, Durva Mupid 9) bt Kolhapur (Satara English Medium School) 43 (Ifa Inamdar 18, Sharvani Badapure 7) Half time 17-20.
Third place: Mumbai 34 (Rutuja nalawde 16) bt Aurangabad 7 (Kushi Jadhav 7) Half time 20-4.
Under-17: Final: Pune (Sardar Dastur Girls  School) 47 (Tanvi Salve 31, Bhumika Sarje 10) Nagpur (Centre Point School) 42 (Siya Devdhar 11, Saee Deshmukh 12) Half time 24-19.
Third place: Kolhapur 39 (Chaitanya Raje 21) bt Nashik 34 (Rishita Somani 20) Half time 19-21.
