PUNE: Ruthvika Shivani was at her best as she defeated 13th seed Shruti Mundada 21-10, 21-17 to clinch the Women’s Singles title at the Yonex-Sunrise All India Senior Ranking Badminton Tournament which concluded at the Modern Sports Complex here on Sunday.
Ruthvika dominated right from the start as Shruti tried to get closer on a couple of occasions. Points kept coming in for Ruthvika as she steered to victory.
In the Men’s Singles final, 10th seed Siddharth Pratap Singh defeated 14th seed Jagadeesh K. 23-21, 21-15 to finish on top.
The Women’s Doubles battle witnessed Shikha Gautam and Ashwini Bhat defeat Sahithi Bandi and Nila V with the score of 21-12, 21-17.
Earlier in the day, the Mixed Doubles final saw the pair of Krishna Prasad and Ashwini Bhat beating Vighnesh Devlekar and Prajakta Sawant 21-15, 21-16.
