Puneri Paltan pulls out yet another win

PUNE: Local boy Akshay Jadhav, who started as a substitute in the match, helped Pune to secure a 27-25 win over Bengaluru Bulls in Pro Kabaddi League Season 6 match at Balewadi Sports Complex, badminton hall on Sunday.

In the Inter Zone Challenge Week match, Akshay showed his class taking three bonus points and two touch points.

Till the 35th minute, the home team were trailing by two points but once Pune got ahead into the game, they held their nerves to cross the victory line.

Stand out performance for Pune came from young guns Akshay, Monu, Ravi Kumar and Shubham Shinde who all stood tall and collected 15 important points for their team.

For Bengaluru, Kashiling Adake was collecting points in raiding as well as defence department. His performance kept Pune on their toes but once he was out of the mat, Pune took control and raced ahead into the match.

Kashiling scored eight points while Pawan Sehrawat collected six points. Rohit Kumar was once again a failure for Bengaluru as he collected only three points.

SLOW START FOR PUNE
For the home team, it turned out to be a slow start as Nitin Tomar and Girish Ernak could hardly show their magic in the first half. Points did not came easily for Pune as Rajesh Mondal also failed to score more points in first 20 minutes.

There was a time when only three players from Bengaluru’s den were on the mat but Pune raiders failed to force ‘All Out’ which  allowed the opponents to go into half time with the scoreline of 13-10.
