Pune engg colleges gear up for BAJA 2020

PUNE: Team Nemesis from College Of Engineering, Pune (COEP) are gearing to defend their title at Mahindra BAJA SAEINDIA 2020, the ultimate battle of engineering students where they build a single seater four-wheeled All Terrain Vehicle, which will be held at the NATRIP facility at Pithampur near Indore, from January 23 to 26, followed by Chitkara University near Chandigarh from March 6 to 8.

Engineering colleges from Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad will battle it out as they will fight for supermacy.

Into its 13th edition, the event received 282 entries from 486 SAEINDIA Collegiate clubs across India  out of which 200 teams are shortlisted for conventional m-BAJA & 53 teams are shortlisted for e-BAJA from the virtual round.

For the BAJA finale, entries from engineering colleges from across the length and breadth of the country were screened at the Virtual Round which was held at Chitkara University, Punjab, in July 2019, where they presented their Designs for the BAJA Buggy vehicle that they wished to design for the final event.

BAJA SAEINDIA tasks the students to conceptualize design, build, test & validate a single-seater four-wheeled All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) to take part in a series of events spread across a course of four days.
