PUNE: Third seeded Prajakta Morey beat top seed Eesha Joshi 11-8, 11-6, 11-5, 11-8 in the finals of the Women’s Singles of the Players Cup District Ranking Table Tennis Tournament at Deccan Gymkhana on Wednesday.
In the semifinal action, Prajakta beat second seed Prithika Sengupta 13-11, 10-12, 11-7, 11-9, 11-4 while Eesha beat fourth seeded Saloni Shah 11-7, 7-11, 11-7, 11-8, 11-8.
In the Midget Girls final, top seed Naisha Rewaskar defeated second seed Tanayaa Abhyankar 10-12, 11-9, 11-4, 11-7 to walk home with the title.
