Pune: Laxman Korangana and Vishal Pawar played some crucial roles for their respective teams as Capgemini and Persistent scored contrasting league wins to move to the top of their group tables the FLAME University Corporate Cricket T20 League 2018 reached midway stage at the FLAME University Campus in Lavale on Sunday.

Only 419 runs were scored in four T20 innings and 31 wickets fell on a day when bowlers dominated the proceedings on a day when Cybage crashed out after losing their third straight league match and ended with zero points in Group D.

Capgemini, which began the day with 2 points and in No 3 place behinf TCS and Tech Mahindra, catapulted to the top of the table with 4 points from 2 matches and 2 wins.

Persistent 118 for 7 in 20 overs (Kaustubh Kale 19 (19b, 2x4), Siddharth Gokhale 18 (31b, 1x4), Swarang Sathe 19 (16b, 1x4, 1x6), Gaurav Kulkarni 2-13), Aman Wani 2-21) beat Cognizant 104 for 7 in 20 overs (Praveen Tiwari 16 (19b, 2x4), Prathmesh Deshpande 16 (15b, 1x4, 1x6), Naman Sharma 16 (20b), Vishal Pawar 2-15, Amarprit Jaspal 2-18).
Result: Persistent won by 14 runs
