Pune: Nirmal Bethany Junior College will clash with Deogiri Junior College in the final of the 10th Mar Ivanios Memorial State Level Inter Collegiate Basketball Tournament at Nirmal Bethany High School And Junior College ground here on Saturday.
In the semi-finals, Nirmal Bethany Junior College defeated Army Public School 34-28 while Deogiri Junior College scored an easy 43-27 win over KLE Junior College.
In the first semi-finals, it was Omkar Jawle’s 17 point, which gave Nirmal Bethany College the upper hand in the match. Omkar was supported by Ashish Jena who scored six points. The team went into half time with a six-point lead with score reading 18-12. After changing ends, Nirmal Bethany College kept the momentum and a ensured place in the final with a 34-28 victory.
In the second semi-final, Deogiri Junior College scored a one-sided victory. Pranay Vasaiyya and Kunal Jagtap shared 31 points between them to script victory over KLE Junior College.
