PUNE: New English School Tilakroad rode on Nikhil Chavan’s 46 to overcome the challenge of Greenwoods School by 16 runs to make the next round of Sakal presents Mapro Schoolympics at the ILS Law College Ground here on Monday.
Apart from New English School, Abhinava Vidyalaya English Medium School, City international School and Shardul Sudhakarao Jadhavar Madhyamik Vidyalaya registered impressive wins to make it to the next round of the tournament.
Abhinava Vidyalaya English Medium School thrashed Jnana Prabhodhini Navnagar Vidyalaya Nigdi by 115 runs to enter the next round in style. Batting first, Abhinav School scored 134 runs in 10 overs. They then skittled Jnana Prabhodhini School for mere 19 runs to complete the rout. Soham Gondkar was the tormentor in chief, as he took three quick wickets to stifle Jnana Prabodhini innings.
