PUNE: The second edition of Bajaj Allianz Pune Half Marathon (BAPHM) which is the largest and most prestigious half marathon of Pune, will be held on December 22.

With a target of 20,000 registrations this year, BAPHM aims to make this edition a bigger and better offering for the running enthusiasts.

The organisers have got on board mentors who include Smita Patil, Smita Kulkarni, Tanmaya Karmakar, Kishor Dhankude, Ashish Kasodekar, Col Arun Malik, Dr Sandeep Kate, Daniel Vaz, Seema Yadav and Simta Sharma.

These mentors are established runners, coaches and athletes from various endurance sports and bring a plethora of relevant experience to the runners.

They will help influence and educate people to pledge to be physically fit and start it by taking their first step out of the door.

The event features primarily four categories which include half marathon (21.1 km), 10 km run, 5 km, and 3 km (family and fun) run with cash prizes worth over 21 Lakhs to be won across categories.
