Pune: Six invitational teams from the city will challenge each other in the Lions Premier League T20 Cricket Championship.
After a successful inaugural run last year, the tournament continues to remain a popular event among teams of the city with the total number of participants remaining unchanged.
The six day tournament will be organised by Lions Club district 323 D-2, and will begin from Monday.
The tournament will be played on a league-cum-knock out basis.
Two venues which include the Deccan Gymkhana ground and the Nehru Stadium ground will be used for the entire tournament. The final has been scheduled for November 18.
The participating teams include; Shivneri Lions, Nair Eagles, Dhomse Tigers, Rathod Royals, Kalate warriors and Naik Paltan.
The winners and the runners-up of the championship will receive a trophy.
