Limaye nails four Show-jumping golds

Pune: Show jumper and trainer Ashish Limaye, who took his first riding lessons in Pune, yet again came up with excellent Show-jumping performance over four heights in the Equestrian Premier League (EPL) which took place at the Embassy International Riding School in Bengaluru, over the weekend.

Yashaan Khambatta of HRN Club won the highest category of show-jumping, the 130cm riding Lorenzo, but then on Ashish took over the course and went on winning the heights riding his favourite horse, Claudette.

Close competition
In the keenly-contested 120 cm event, Limaye rode Claudette nicely over all the obstacles leaving Basavaraju S, who was on Capo Cassione, in the second place.

Rishabh of URB Club rode Caprice to take the bronze position. The same horse gave him silver finish behind Khambatta in the top show-jumping event.

The 10th edition of the Equestrian Premier League at EIRS, located in Tarunhunse Village near Devanahalli, saw substantial increase in the number of entries—there were 214 entries in Dressage and Show Jumping—as compared to 180 last year.

Last year nine clubs participated, while there were riders from 11 clubs and riding schools this year.
