Chennai Super Kings fast bowler and 12 members of their support staff have tested for the novel COVID-19 in Dubai, just days ahead of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020, reported India Today.

Chennai Super Kings, who were expected to start their pre-season camp on Friday for the cricketing league, had decided to extend the compulsory six-day quarantine in UAE. According to some media reports, the club now has taken the decision after several members from the Yellow Army squad tested positive for the virus.

According to the SOPs, the player and the support staff, will be in isolation for two weeks. After two weeks of isolation, the player must return two negative PCR test reports done 24 hours apart before being allowed to re-enter the bio-secure situation. Cardiac screening is also mandatory before resuming team doings. All individuals within a Bio-Secure Environment will be tested every fifth day through the IPL season. Meanwhile, the entire CSK squad has gone into quarantine at the hotel they are staying in Dubai.
