PUNE: Thirteen-handicapper Ikram Khan led PCGC team to an emphatic 16-8 win over Southern Star Golf Club in the Bilateral Golf tournament 2019 that saw 12 teams each from the two clubs play Fourball and Foursome matches in Matchplay format at the Poona Club Golf Course here on Sunday.
Each team had 24 players divided into 12 Fourball and as many Foursome teams comprising two players each in which PCGC won eight matches whle SSGC four.
Ikram, paired with Kanishka Lunkad, played against the SSGC team of Lt Gen Satinder Kumar Saini and Maj Gen TPS Rawat after making start from the first tee and gave 2-0 lead in Fourball match. The PCGC team went on to take 6-0 lead through three matches that started from the first tee.
In the Foursome matches Aditya Deshmukh and Dolly Manghat played well to give 8-4 edge to PCGC.
