Easy wins for Ojas and Parv in tennis

They were all pretty much one-sided affairs in the 10-12 years Boys’ singles category of Tennis event of Mapro Presents Sakal Schoolympics being played at the Deccan Gymkhana on Monday.

Pune: They were all pretty much one-sided affairs in the 10-12 years Boys’ singles category of Tennis event of Mapro Presents Sakal Schoolympics being played at the Deccan Gymkhana on Monday.

Ojas Kane of New India School started the day’s proceedings with a 6-1 win over Shree Waghere of Global Indian International School, Chinchwad. Parv Pandya of  The Bishop’s Co-Ed School, Kalyaninagar too won by the same margin of 6-1 against Mohammed Ayaan Imran Parwani from St Vincents High School, Camp, while Kanisq Pawar of SM Choksey High School defeated Sairaj Shrotari of New India School 6-2.

The other matches were even more lopsided, as Avaneesh Chafle, a student of Vikhe Patil Memorial School, SB Road thrashed Ramkumar Advaith of The Orchid School Baner 6-0, giving his opponent no chance whatsoever.
