Contrasting wins for Hutchings and Fr. Agnel’s

Pune: Hutchings High School and Father Agnel’s Vidyankur School scored contrasting wins over their respective opponents in the junior boys’ category of the Reliance Foundation Youth Sports (RFYS) football tournament at the De Nobili College ground, here on Tuesday.

Hutchings scored a one-sided 4-0 win over Pawar Public School with a brace of goals scored in either half.  Sanchit Paranjape (8th) opened the scoring and Tanmay Bhansali (16th) doubled the lead to help Hutchings go into a break with the 2-0 lead.
On resumption, Aryan Chordiya (36th) and Abhar Datta (52nd) added two more to ease the side home.

Later, Fr. Agnel’s Vidyankur School and Vikhe Patil Memorial School, Lohegaon battled out a goalless draw in regulation time before winning 4-2 in the tie breaker. 

In the girls’ category, Angel High School scored a 1-0 win over Mount Carmel Convent High School.
