Pune: Aadarsh Om Chertri from Delhi, Suhana Saini from Haryana, Emon Adhikary and Sayani Panda from West Bengal claimed titles in their respective events at the 6th Edition of ‘Sudesh Shelar Memorial 11SPORTS National Ranking Championship which is organised in the memory of former TT player Shri. Sudesh Shelar at Balewadi Sports Complex, Weightlifting Hall on Thursday.
In the Sub- Junior Boys event finals, Aadarsh Om Chertri of Delhi outplayed Vishwa Deenadayalan from TN 4-3(13-11, 10-12, 11-4, 11-8, 6-11, 6-11, 11-4 to claim the title, while Sub- Junior Girls group Suhana Saini of Haryana thrashed Anargaya Manjunath from Karnataka 4-0 (13-11, 11-7, 11-4, 11-4 to claim the title in this category.
It was the fourth title of the season for the 12years old 9th standard student of Scholars Rosary Sr. Secondary Scholl Saini who practices at Chennai Table Tennis Foundation under coach RR Rajesh. In the Cadet boys Emon Adhikary scored a 4-1win over Gaurav Pancham.
