Pune: Bishop’s Camp and Kalyani Nagar teams came out with impressive performances to score victories in the league round of the Captain Shivrampant Damle Trophy at Kataria High School Ground on Friday.
Bishop’s Camp scored a 84-run victory over Millennium while Bishop’s Kalyani Nagar registered a narrow two-run win over Fun Fitness.
In the first match, an all-round performance from Neel Gandhi helped Bishop’s Camp to notch a second consecutive victory of the tournament.
On Thursday, Bishop’s Camp had defeated CNA by nine wickets. Neel, who was named man of the match, in the game against CNA, came out with another good show to bag his second man of the match award of the tournament.
Neel’s 66 runs helped Bishop’s Camp to reach a total of 243 runs in the alloted 30 overs.
In reply, Millennium were bowled out for 160 runs. An impressive Neel returned with figures of 4-17 in four overs, which included one maiden over.
