Asmi scores upset win over Sahana in Round 2

In the Boys Under-14 event, Atharva Joshi edged out Anuj Kadam 6-5 (7-4) in the second round, while Arjun Kirrtane defeated Aditya Aadate 6-1.

PUNE: Unseeded Asmi Tilekar scored an upset win over No. 9 seed Sahana Kamalakannan, winning the second round match 6-4 to enter the pre-quarterfinals, while No 3 seed Prisha Shinde blanked Sarisha Jamenis 6-0 in the Girls Under-12 event at the KPIT Junior Champion series tennis tournament organised by the Pune Metropolitan District Tennis Association (PMDTA) at the Center for Police Research, Pashan, on Tuesday.

In the Boys Under-14 event, Atharva Joshi edged out Anuj Kadam 6-5 (7-4) in the second round, while Arjun Kirrtane defeated Aditya Aadate 6-1.
