Pune: Anas Parkar scored twice, once during regulation time and then in the tie-breaker as Sinhgad City School, Kondhwa, defeated Madhavrao Sonba Tupe English Medium Secondary School 4-3 in tie-break after both the teams were locked 1-1 at the end of the regulation time in a first round match in the Boy’s Under-17 Zilla Parishad football tournament at the Chandrashekhar Agashe College ground here on Monday.
Sonba Tupe School had taken the lead in the eighth minute through Prem Gondhale, but Anas netted the equaliser in the 18th minute but then both found it hard to break the deadlock that forced the match in tie-breaker.
For Sinhgad, Umar Jehangir, Anas, Ayan Khan and Dhruv Lohkare netted from the spot.
