Aditya Bhotre shines, but SSPMS Day School loses

Pune: Aditya Bhotre’s effective spell in which he took three crucial wickets, went in vain as SSPMS Day suffered a 9-run defeat against Pawar Public School, Hinjewadi during Sakal presents boy’s cricket event being played at the NCL Ground here on Wednesday. 

Seth Dagduram Katariya High School, Fr. Agnel’s Vidyankur School and New English School, Ramanbaug were the other teams who recorded wins on Wednesday.

At the NCL Ground, batting first, Pawar Public School were restricted to 64/8 in their quota of 10 overs. Aditya Bhotre was instrumental with the ball, as Shardul Tapkir and him got three wickets each to peg back Pawar Public School. Chasing a decent total, SSPMS innings never got going and their batting crumbled under pressure and they could just post 55 runs in allotted 10 overs.

In other matches, New English School beat Sardar Dastur by 10 wickets, while SNBP School Morwadi beat Blue Ridge Public School.
