PUNE: Aditee Dandekar provided icing on the cake for host Maharashtra on the final day of gymnastics as she won two gold and one silver medal in the women’s Under-21 category in ball and ribbon routines that helped Maharashtra to earn the champion crown in gymnastics at the Balewadi Sports Complex on Sunday.
A meticulous performance helped Aditee to win four medals in all taking her individual haul to five medals, adding to the Rhythmic Gymnastics all-around title on Friday.
With 18 medals (9 gold, 6 silver and 3 bronze) Maharashtra upstaged Bengal in front of an adoring home crowd.
Meghana Reddy gave Aditee some competition by bagging the hoop gold and silver in both the ribbon and ball categories.
