Sakal’s drawing competition today

PUNE: Special and ashram shala students can participate without any fees in the PN Gadgil and Sons Limited sponsored and powered by Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-Op Society Limited Sakal Drawing Competition 2020, which will take place on Sunday (January 12).

“The special children and ashram shala students do not have to pay any fees or to produce any coupons to participate in the drawing competition,” said the sponsors. Similarly, Sakal has given special concessions to those who want to participate in the competition.

The students can fill the special coupons published in the past editions of January 3, 5, 7 and 9 submit them at the competition centre. These students can participate in the competition without any charges.

Students who cannot fill these special coupons can log on to  http://bit.ly/2sAmK1H website and pay Rs 10 and then can participate. Students, teachers and parents should note that it was compulsory to submit the coupons (which are filled completely) or the online receipt to the organisers. 
Drawing sheets will be provided by the organisers. Contestants are supposed to carry colours and other drawing material with them.

An exhibition of winning drawings will be held after the declaration of results.

Options for participation
Option 1

  • Identify your group
  • Cut and fill in all details in the special coupon about the Sakal Drawing Competition 2020 presented by PN Gadgil and Sons Ltd and powered by Lokmanya Multipurpose Co-operative Society Ltd appearing in the Sakal and Sakal Times editions on January 3, 5, 7 or 9 (Thursday)
  • Check the details again
  • Participate in the contest by furnishing the completely filled coupon at the nearest competition centre on Jan 12 (Sunday)

Option 2

  • Those students, who would not be able to fill in the coupon, will have to register themselves by paying Rs 10 as the entry fee on the website: http://bit.ly/2sAmK1H
  • Preserve the SMS that you would receive after the online registration till the competition gets over
  • OR
  • Scan this QR code on your cellphone to register and pay the entry fee to participate
  • Participate by showing the entry fee payment receipt at the nearest competition centre on January 12

Contest in four groups

  • Group A – Std I and II
  • Group B – Std Std III and IV
  • Group C – Std V to VII 
  • Group D – Std VIII to X

 Timings
Groups A and B: 11.30 am to 12.30 pm
Groups C and D: 9 am to 10.30 am

Before leaving for the contest

  • The contestants can use black or colour pencils, crayons, poster colours, acrylic colours, sketch pens, etc, separately or in combination while drawing
  • Give attention to composition, rhythm, emotions and symmetry while drawing
  • Complete the drawing within the time limit
  • Your drawing should not be a copy of any other drawing. It should be your expression
  • Enjoy the drawing by using latest techniques. Try to bring your emotions into it
  • Have fun and be happy while participating in the contest
