PUNE: A 22-year-old youth who was in the final year of his MBBS degree course allegedly committed suicide using a shawl in his bedroom on Thursday morning in Loni Kalbhor.
The Loni Kalbhor police identified the deceased as Aniket Dhumal. They said Aniket’s mother is a doctor and he was a student of a medical college in Pune studying in the final year.
The police have not found any suicide note in their primary search. They said while Aniket was sleeping, his father woke him up for studies and spent some time in his room. Later, he asked his father to go back to sleep. A couple of hours later, when the parents woke up and went to check up on Aniket, he did not open the door. They tried calling on his phone but there was no reply. Aniket’s parents broke open the door only to find Aniket hanging from the ceiling.
The police are further investigating the case.
