Youth robbed of Rs 8,000

PUNE: A 21-year-old youth was allegedly robbed of Rs 8,000 by a man who threatened to lodge fake case against him on November 27 near Pune railway station.

Dhirajkumar Tati from Akurdi, who works with a central government organisation, has lodged a complaint with the Bund Garden police station.

According to the police, the accused pushed the complainant near Alankar Chowk and threw his phone on the ground. He claimed that Tati damaged his phone and demanded Rs 20,000 and threatened to register police case against him. He then snatched Rs 8,000 from Tati.

Tati lodged a complaint on Thursday and the police are investigating the case.
