Youth from Delhi arrested for job fraud

PUNE: Officials of the Cyber Crime Cell of City Police Crime Branch on Tuesday arrested a youth from Delhi allegedly involved in cheating a city-based girl of Rs 2.37 lakh on the pretext of offering her a job. The arrested accused has been identified as Zeeshan Khan (26) from Tilak Nagar in New Delhi.

According to information given by officials of the Cyber Crime Cell, the victim was looking for a job and had registered herself at different job portals. The accused told the victim that he is calling from careersbuckets.com and he would help her secure a job in a multinational company and that she will have to pay different fees including background verification fee and other fees. The accused then phished banking details of the victim to steal Rs 2.37 lakh from her account. 

Following the complaint, a police team of the Cyber Crime Cell collected technical details and arrested the accused. The police said that a PAN card, an Aadhaar card, Rs 28,500 in cash, 31 SIM cards, and registration of a job portal with a company named Radha IT Solutions. The accused will be brought to Pune by officials of Cyber Crime Cell. 

The investigation team included Police Inspector Santosh Barge, Police Sub-Inspector Alka Jadhav, Kiran Aute, policemen Nilesh Shelar, Shirish Gavde, Santosh Jadhav and Jyoti Diwane.
