PUNE: Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis targeted Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) on Friday in Pune. He pointed out that development-related projects in Pune are not new. "We implemented all projects in just four years. In earlier government, they were on paper and they were discussing since last 20 years," said Fadnavis.
Fadnavis was in the city to inaugurate BJP MP Anil Shirole's work progress report of four and half years of his tenure. MP Anil Shirole, MP Sanjay Kakade, District Guardian Minister Girish Bapat, City Unit Chief Yogesh Gogawale and city-based BJP legislators were also present.
Appreciating Shirole's work, Fadnavis said, "Common citizens have rights to question the government what it has done during its tenure. But politicians do not have the right to question the government as to what it did in 40 years."
"With the help of Ring Road, PMRDA, airport development and metro, the State government is making Pune city accessible and sustainable. We are building city infrastructure for all classes of people. The city will change after completion of all these projects," he added.
In another programme, the chief minister performed bhoomi poojan of two-tier Karve Road flyover late in the evening on Friday.
