Wakad police bust gang of thieves, recover goods

A gang of thieves from Aurangabad has been busted by the sleuths of Wakad police station under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Police claimed to have recovered 83 stolen coolers, kitchen exhaust chimney and a tempo, totally worth Rs 10 lakh, from their possession. 

Pune: A gang of thieves from Aurangabad has been busted by the sleuths of Wakad police station under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Police claimed to have recovered 83 stolen coolers, kitchen exhaust chimney and a tempo, totally worth Rs 10 lakh, from their possession. 

Acting on a tip-off received by policemen Vikram Kudal and Pramod Kadam, a team led by Police Sub-Inspector Harish Mane arrested Yogesh Babaji Putmali (23), Aziz Badshah Sayyed (48) and Dnyaneshwar Ramrao Palhal (23), all residents of Aurangabad district.  

The accused had stolen 90 coolers, one kitchen exhaust chimney on May 7 from an electronic appliances shop in Tathawade.  Senior Police Inspector Satish Mane, said the accused have been remanded in police custody for three days. They committed similar thefts in Aurangabad and Lonikand.
