VPSEMS fosters tradition of ‘Dindi’

VPSEMS fosters tradition of ‘Dindi’

Pune: On the occasion of Pandharpur Wari, to foster the religious and spiritual tradition, the pre-primary and the primary section of Vidya Pratishthan’s Someshwar English Medium School (VPSEMS) had organised a ‘Dindi Sohala’ at Karanjepul.

The toddlers from pre-primary and Std I and II adorned themselves with different traditional dresses. Some were dressed up as ‘saints and warkaris and sang ‘abhangas’. They also carried various warkari material with them like tulsi plant, tal, Bhagwatgeeta, etc.

Around 260 students, 13 teachers and more than five assistants and a few parents participated in this event. With the guidance of teachers and under the protection of the police from Karanjepul Police station, the toddlers made a ‘ ringan’ and sang various devotional songs, abhanagas and danced to the spiritual tunes in front of Someshwar Sugar Factory, Karanjepul. One of the generous parents of the school, Santosh Gaikwad, distributed sweets to these little kids.

This activity was planned by the school Principal Sachin Pathak and accompanied by the pre-primary in charge Varsha Nigade. All the teachers related to these sections assisted the Dindi and made this occasion a memorable event for the kids.
