Vigilance Awareness Week organised at Pune Airport

The week started on November 28 under the direction of Ajay Kumar, Airport Director, AAI Pune. Various programmes were organised during the week in which approximately 5,000 people took a pledge.

PUNE: The Airport Authority of India (AAI) has organised ‘Vigilance Awareness Week’ at Pune airport with the theme ‘Honesty-A Lifestyle’. 

The week started on November 28 under the direction of Ajay Kumar, Airport Director, AAI Pune. Various programmes were organised during the week in which approximately 5,000 people took a pledge. Out of them, 368 passengers and the general public were administered online e-pledge, i.e. integrity pledge, which is available on the CVC website. 

Seven schools, including Kendriya Vidyalaya at Lohegaon and Vishrantwadi, participated in this week. Around 4,600 students and teachers of these schools were administered the oath of integrity. 

An essay competition was organised by Pune Airport, and the employees of AAI also organised a drama on the subject ‘Nirash Na Ho’. Students of Shakuntala Hemraj Art College put up evocative pictures on the theme of the Vigilance Awareness Week. 

On the eve of the closing ceremony, all participants/schools/colleges who gave their valuable cooperation in making the Vigilance Awareness Week successful were felicitated with trophies, certificates and saplings by AAI Pune Airport. 

The schools which participated are Sant Tukaram Higher Secondary School, Lohegaon, Genba Moze Higher Secondary School, Nagpur Chawl, Yerawada, Genubhau Khese Higher Secondary School, 509 Chowk, Lohegaon, Nana Saheb Parulekar Kanyashala, Vishrantwadi, Kendriya Vidyalay, 2, Barmashel Gate, Kendriya Vidyalay, 1 , Lohegaon and SS English Medium School, Pratik Nagar, Vishrantwadi.
