PIMPRI: The Shiv Sena-BJP alliance candidate in Pimpri Scheduled Caste reserved seat Gautam Chabukswar’s Facebook account was hacked here on Tuesday.

Chabukswar has registered a complaint with the cyber cell. This incident has affected Chabukswar’s poll campaign on social media.

Chabukswar said that his Facebook account was hacked by the people who cannot challenge him in the Assembly polls. Most of the times, the professional hackers hack accounts in exchange for attractive cash, the MLA added.

The preliminary investigations have found that the MLA’s Facebook account was hacked by a Chinese hacker.

On Tuesday, Chabukswar’s social media team realised that the account was hacked. The mobile number, password and the name linked to the account were also changed. The MLA’s personal assistant, Vijay Jagtap, has submitted a written complaint to the cyber cell at the Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissionerate. Chabukswar has now opened four new Facebook accounts.
