PUNE: Two persons died while another sustained severe injuries when a speeding van hit them while they were loading goods on a luxury bus on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway at Kusgaon near Lonavla on Monday night.
According to the police, the victims were loading chikki in the bus when the incident took place at around 10.30 pm. The bus was coming to Pune from Mumbai.
The deceased have been identified as Narayan Gund (35) of Kusgaon Budruk and bus cleaner Vaibhav Vijay Pendulkar (40) of Vadgaon Budruk.
The injured Haribhau Shivram Kale (35) of Kusgaon Budruk is undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
