Two-day global pathology conference to begin today

PUNE: The third edition of ‘Pathfinders - global pathology Conference’, will be held in the city starting from Saturday.

The 2-day conference has been organised by Neuberg Diagnostics Private Limited along with AG Diagnostics Pvt Ltd in association with the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Pune.

The conference will have three key sessions focussing on diabetes, cardiology and reproductive health.

PathFinders 2019 will also pay a tribute to Dr Ajit Golwilkar, who passed away recently leaving the medical fraternity in shock.

Dr Golwilkar’s in-depth knowledge of laboratory medicine and his penchant for quality and integrity made him a stalwart in the diagnostics sector.

Dr GS K Velu, Chairman and Managing Director of Neuberg Diagnostics Private Limited said that metabolic diseases are growing at alarming rates.

“Obesity plays an important role in the increased prevalence of comorbid conditions like dyslipidaemia, hypertension, type 2 diabetes and reproductive endocrinology. What patients need is a health management strategy that takes into account our expertise, new technologies and what’s trending out there. This is what we hope to achieve at this conference,” said Dr GS K Velu.

Dr Awanti Golwilkar-Mehendale, Director and Chief of Lab, AG Diagnostics Private Ltd said, “At this conference, we aim to explore ways to simplify diagnosis and treatment across the country.”
