PUNE: Dubai-based Dhol Tasha group Trivikram Dhol Tasha Pathak, whose members are Punietes settled in UAE, will be performing in support of Maratha Arabians team during their matches in the T-10 Cricket League from December 14 to 17 at Sharjah Stadium.
The group had recently performed during UAE’s National Day celebrations and had also appeared in the Marathi entertainment show ‘Chala Hawa Yeu Dya’. Sagar Patil, the founder of Trivikram Dhol Tasha Pathak, said, “The project head of an event management company viewed our show and approached us for Maratha Arabians. This might be the first time that a Dhol-Tasha Pathak will perform in Sharjah Stadium.”
He further added, “The slogan of the team is ‘Aala Re Aala Maratha Aala’ and we would play Dhol-Tasha in the same slogan itself. Our team will comprise of six people. We are seeing the trend of Dhol-Tasha becoming popular, and we want to continue it here in Dubai so that the Maharashtrian culture could be known to all.”
