TCS, BV to offer unique programme for BTech

Pune: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) in collaboration with Bharati Vidyapeeth (BV) (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune has come up with a unique programme BTech. which will be introduced from the coming academic year 2018-19. 

TCS will introduce it as a pilot programme in four colleges across the country and it would have subjects on the latest technologies.

Speaking on the occasion, Ranjan Bandyopadhyay, Global Vice President-HR, TCS, said that TCS will train faculty members to teach these courses and TCS will also evaluate the courses. “Students who complete the course successfully will be preferred for recruitment in the company. 

The course also focuses on management and soft skills, as we have seen that a lot of engineering graduates are on the lower side when it comes to communication skills. 

A 45-day internship is mandatory in the course,” Bandyopadhyay said.

Vice Chancellor Dr Manikrao Salunkhe said that Bharati Vidyapeeth has always endeavoured towards innovative approaches to carry out the multidisciplinary courses under one roof. 

He assured all necessary assistance required to execute this programme successfully.

Unique features of this programme include an opportunity for the students to work on live projects with TCS during their internship and project work.
