Students should learn skills for facing challenges in life: Pawar
He was speaking at a school renaming ceremony
Pune: “Students should not only run behind scoring marks in the board exams but they should learn a skill to face challenges in life,” said former Union agriculture minister Sharad Pawar.
He was speaking at the renaming ceremony of Chaitanya English Medium School, Rasta Peth which was renamed as Cyrus Poonawala English Medium School. Also, Utkarsh English Medium School, Solapur Bazaar was renamed as Villoo Poonawala English Medium School.
Both schools are run by Camp Education Society.
Pawar said, “Poonawala’s efforts in rebuilding the educational institute is appreciable.”
Basic infrastructure including classrooms, toilets, library, and computer labs will be upgraded in these two schools.
The event was attended by many dignitaries including Adar Poonawala, Cyrus Poonawala and Walchand Sancheti.
