SPPU launches web portal for admissions

PUNE: The Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) has launched a web portal for the admission process of distance education through the university’s School of Open Learning.

The portal was inaugurated by Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University Nitin Karmalkar on

August 15. However, the portal will be available for making online applications from August 27.

All the guidelines related to admissions in various courses offered under distance education will be updated on this web portal.

The aspirants will be provided with all sorts of information like notices, lists, etc, here. “The web portal can be accessed right now. But the links to admission process will be uploaded by August 27 only,” informed director in-charge of the school Sanjiv Sonawane. The courses provided through this medium will be revised regularly. Also, it will follow the annual pattern of examination and evaluation instead of semester pattern.  Students of Pune, Nashik and Ahmednagar districts will be facilitated with study and examination centres.

Candidates can access the web portal through this link http://www.unipune.ac.in/sol.
