The facebook account of Shiv Sena's sitting MLA and party candidate in Pimpri assembly constituency Gautam Chabukswar was hacked on Tuesday.

Pimpri: The facebook account of Shiv Sena's sitting MLA and party candidate in Pimpri assembly constituency Gautam Chabukswar was hacked on Tuesday.

Chabukswar has registered a complain with the cyber cell of the police in this regard.

The hacking of the Shiv Sena-BJP alliance candidate in the Pimpri Scheduled Caste reserved seat has affected his poll campaign on the social media.

Chabukswar said that the mischief of hacking his Facebook account was done by those people who could not challenge him in the assembly poll.

Professional hackers hack accounts in exchange for attractive cash, the MLA alleged.

Preliminary investigations have found that Chabukswar's Facebook account was hacked by a Chinese hacker.

Chabukswar's political workers handling his Facebook account realised on Tuesday morning that the account was hacked. The mobile number, password and the name of the account was also changed.

The MLA's personal assistant Vijay Jagtap has give a written complaint to the cyber cell at the Pimpri Chinchwad police commissionerate.

As a precautionary measure during the ongoing poll campaign, MLA Chabukswar has now opened four new Facebook accounts.

In Pimpri seat, Chabukswar is pitted against Nationalist Congress Party's former MLA Anna Bansode.
