Pune: The State Education Department has given another chance to the teachers to rectify the mistakes made while filling up the online recruitment form. The step was taken after a meeting between the D.T.Ed, B.Ed Students association and officials as the candidates complained of making mistakes while filling up the forms.
Although, the deadline ends on May 31, Santosh Magar Founder President of the Association said there was a chance that the deadline could be extended.
Simultaneously, the government has also issued a list of guidelines for the applicants to fill the forms accurately, so that such mistakes are not repeated. The video guidelines of the process have also been released.
”The officials of the Education Department conducted a meeting with the candidates, as well as the association heads, over providing a time period to the candidates. The demand was approved, but now we feel like it would not wrap up by May 31, so there may be a need to extend it,” Magar said.
Due to the technical glitches as well as misinterpretation of the form and the instructions, the candidates made several mistakes while filling the forms. For a few candidates, selecting the preference list was difficult, while some candidates were facing difficulties in logging in to their profiles, the department has ensured that the system enhancement work was going on, and the glitch would soon be fixed. Now, with a chance to rectify these mistakes, the preference lists too are open for the candidates to update.
Instructions for candidates
- A guidance video has been uploaded at https://youtu.be/nHRp6QEDcg4 for the candidates to refer to while filling the preference list.
- The D.Ed./B.Ed. holder English medium candidates can select the vacant seats in the Mumbai municipal schools, under the category ‘santha without interview’ in BMC tab. Only these candidates are allowed to fill preferences for Mumbai municipal schools, others are not.
- While some of the candidates were tensed as their application forms had remained in the draft copy itself, the department has now given them a chance to self certify the forms, that is submit them finally. However, the candidates have been informed that they need to check their details and get them clarified before the self-certifying.
