RTO conducts cleanliness drive within their premises

"The event was organised by Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan, Revdanda, Alibaug. As many as 436 volunteers and staffs were involved in cleaning the premises." said RTO officer Sanjay Raut.

PUNE: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) Pune has conducted a cleanliness drive within their premises on Sunday. As many as 436 volunteers and staff members collected around 15 tonnes of garbage.

The RTO has more than 10,000 visitors every day. They litter the premises and spit on the building walls. Several visitors had complained to the RTO about the situation, but no real effort was made to solve the issue. 

"The event was organised by Nanasaheb Dharmadhikari Pratishthan, Revdanda, Alibaug. As many as 436 volunteers and staffs were involved in cleaning the premises. The drive started at 7 am and ended at 10 am. We have collected 15 tonnes of garbage. We have also set up dustbins inside the premises and the building as well," said RTO officer Sanjay Raut.
