Rs 7 crore to be spent for Chatuhshrungi temple renovation

Pune: A total of Rs 7 crore will be spent on renovation of Chatuhshrungi temple, which is a homage to millions of devotees. In the new renovation, an escalator will be built for aged persons, females and children.

Temple renovation funds received from donors, devotees and temple trustees will be spent on the renovation model. The same plan has been sent to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) and the inauguration is expected after Diwali.

Every year, Chatuhshrungi temple at Senapati Bapat road celebrates Navratri with a grand fair and procession. This year, the Chatuhshrungi temple trust will celebrate Navratri festival from September 29 to October 8.

Around 2.5 lakh devotees are expected during Navratri. This year, Chatuhshrungi temple has set up a silver roof at the main temple sanctum.

There will be a breastfeeding facility centre at the temple premises. 150 volunteers from Shree Aniruddha Gurukshetram Seva will be providing the necessary service to devotees. 20 CCTV cameras have been installed for security and management purpose.

Dilip Angal, a trustee of Chatuhshrungi temple, said, “We have arranged 24/7 ambulance services, and six doctors will be available for 8 hours service. In total, 18 doctors will provide medical services for 10 days.” Devotees coming to the temple will be provided free parking at the government polytechnic.
