Rlys deputes all-women crew on a few trains

The Pune Railway Division deputed all-women crew, including the pilot, TTE and at its loco shed, Ghorpadi. The crew was deputed on trains, including Deccan Queen, Bhusawal Express and Panvel-Nanded Express to mark International Women’s Day on Friday.

Pune: The Pune Railway Division deputed all-women crew, including the pilot, TTE and at its loco shed, Ghorpadi. The crew was deputed on trains, including Deccan Queen, Bhusawal Express and Panvel-Nanded Express to mark International Women’s Day on Friday.

According to the Railways, Deccan Queen, which departed at 7.15 am on Friday from the Pune Junction had two pilots Jayshree Kamble and Shradha Tambe and a ticket traveller examiner (TTE). The passengers were welcomed with flower bouquets by the crew members and senior railway officials. The lady TTEs were deputed on Pune-Bhusawal train and its return Panvel-Nanded Express. In the diesel, loco sheds at Ghorpadi, 55 women were deployed. Milind Deouskar, DRM, was also present, said Sanjay Kumar, Acting Spokesperson of Pune division.

GoAir deputes women pilots
GoAir deputed two women pilots on its Chennai-Pune flight on Friday. Pilot Vaishali Nimbalkar and Payal Shah joined duty on Friday from Mumbai. The flight arrived in Pune at night. Both pilots have over 1,900 hours of experience. The Pune airport officials felicitated women passengers at both arrival and departure areas. The women shared their experiences about their achievements. The lady passengers wrote messages on the decorated mirror wall. Many young girls and women clicked photographs at the photo booth.

PMPML celebrates with passengers
The women passengers of Tejaswini of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) celebrated International Women’s Day on Friday. The passengers enjoyed the free ride. Recently, Mayor Mukta Tilak had announced that on the 8th day of every month, women passengers will enjoy the free journey in these buses. The passengers were welcomed with flowers.
