Railways to hold progs on Int’l Women’s Day
The railway will depute lady guard and lady TTE on Pune-Lonavla local train which departs from Pune junction at 9.55 am.
Pune: The Pune railway division is going to organise various programmes on International Women’s Day on Thursday. The railway will depute lady guard and lady TTE on Pune-Lonavla local train which departs from Pune junction at 9.55 am.
Apart from this, lady ticket checker will also be deputed in Deccan Queen, which departs from Pune at 7.20 am, while, the lady loco pilot, guards and ticket checker including RPF personnel will be depute on this train from Mumbai to Pune, the train will depart at 5.10 pm from CSMT, Mumbai. The Pune railway authorities will felicitate all women crew members on the arrival of the train.
A team under the leadership of divisional mechanical engineer, Anshupriya including a junior engineer, 10 technicians, 7 helpers will be appointed at the railway will depute at Pune-based loco shed. The schedule engine maintenance will be done on Pune-Patna Express by this team. Similarly, intermediate overhauling schedule (IOH) of a coach in Ghorpadi Coaching Complex will be done by women employees as well.
Women employees in Pune railway division contributed in sports, art and culture and other fields will be honoured by Milind Deouskar, DRM, Pune and Seema Deouskar, President Women Social Services Committee.
On this occasion, the women’s social service committee will also install a sanitary pad vending machine in two women’s washrooms in the divisional office.
